Lyric Marketing’s HOT Top 10 List for May: Music Food and Dinosaurs

It’s been a busy month full of hard work and nice surprises and I am proud of some pretty cool things I was able to accomplish.  I finally received the printed copies of my book 52 KILLER Marketing Tips, if you haven’t purchased yours yet, go grab one at Amazon! In addition to the first swim at my pool and getting out to run on my local trail, I also launched a new jewelry line – eclektics.com – stayed up all night to get photos of the blood moon, and enjoyed a pleasant Easter holiday with family. I have had some super rich moments of sharing love and friendship and  creating new opportunities – I am sure May will be no different.

IRON FORK – May 7 Whole Foods Presents the Dallas Observer Iron Fork, a grand tasting event that will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Centennial Hall at Fair Park, 1001 Washington Street. The center stage will feature the Chef Challenge Moderated by Restaurateur Kent Rathbun. Two top chefs will receive a basket of ingredients and will go head to head for the prestigious Iron Fork award. It’s simple: each chef will receive a basket of ingredients, including one mystery ingredient. It’s up to them to battle for the glory and the coveted Iron Fork award.

THE WORLD’S LARGEST DINOSAURS – May 10 “The World’s Largest Dinosaurs,” a traveling exhibition created by the American Museum of Natural History, showcases what life was like for some of the largest creatures to ever walk the Earth.  The exhibit explores the anatomy of a supersized group of supersized dinosaurs who that thrived for 140 million years — the long-necked and long-tailed sauropods, which ranged in size from 15 feet to 150 feet long. SWISS AVENUE HISTORIC DISTRICT MOTHER’S DAY HOME TOUR – MAY 10 The 41st annual Swiss Avenue Historic District Mother’s Day Home Tour features eight historic homes, including a Tudor Revival Manor known as “the crown jewel of Swiss Avenue” and an Italian Renaissance palazzo designed by famed architect Bertram Hill. The weekend-long festivities offer something for every member of the family. In addition to the tour of homes, there is a vintage and special interest auto exhibit, a children’s area with activities planned throughout each day, live music and Mother’s Day brunch in Savage Park, and an art fair with a variety of items available for purchase from local artists and craftsmen. CLASSICS AT CLYDE WARREN PARK – May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 at 8:15pm Though it’s still relatively young, Dallasites have already welcomed Klyde Warren Park with the same regard as any of our more established landmarks. So it seems appropriate that the theme for the park’s new film series centers around Hollywood classics. A different film will screen every Saturday on the Ginsburg Family Great Lawn, with an introduction from film critic Chris Vognar.
